Wall hung work should not exceed 150cm high x 150cm wide, including frame. Floor-standing or suspended three-dimensional work should have a footprint not exceeding 150cm x 150cm including plinths and supports. The gallery is a double height space with crossbeams at approximately 400cm high and a ceiling apex of approximately 590cm high. For wall hung work please supply the height and width in the boxes provided on the online application. For sculpture and installation, please supply the footprint dimensions and the height of your work. Works outside the size limits will not be accepted in the exhibition.
Yes we do accept all art forms however your work must meet the size restrictions stated in the terms and conditions. Space at The Cello Factory is limited so please bear this in mind when submitting. If your work is performance you may have to perform at one of the PVs. If you want to submit a video of a performance please follow the instructions for entering video work.
Yes we do accept collaborative work. One of the collaborators will need to make the application on behalf of everyone involved.
Yes you can enter up to three works in a variety of mediums.
Yes if you consider it to be one work but please make sure that the overall dimensions are within the size limits for one work. You will only be able to upload one image so please ensure that it shows all panels of the work. if selected you may be required to install the work yourself as directed by the London Group.
If your work is editioned please enter the price for the work you will be exhibiting including the cost of any frames etc. If your work is selected you will be contacted for the price of subsequent editions.
Yes you can enter work if you live outside the UK but please consider how you would arrange delivery and collect your work to and from the gallery at the specified time if your submission is successful.
If your work is selected The London Group will install your work in the exhibition. If your work is an installation or has very unusual hanging requirements you may be asked to come and help install your work.
If your work is selected and requires electricity or other technical requirements to run then you will need to provide simple instructions for set-up and how to turn it on and off each day.
No, you do not need to submit a still image with a video submission. If your work is selected you will be contacted to provide a still image for the catalogue.
Please note that the selectors will only watch the first 2 mins of time-based work during selection.
Please upload a video that documents the work as it would be installed/performed. In the duration box please state the duration of the work as it would appear in the exhibition
No you can edit your entries at any stage until the deadline at 5pm Friday 30 August 2019. Please be sure to have completed your entries by this date as incomplete entries can not be considered.

Upon registering for this opportunity you will receive a receipt via email from Stripe and an email from ArtOpps confirming that you have registered. Once you have completed your application you will receive an email from ArtOpps confirming that your application has been received. You must ensure that you have uploaded all the artwork details and image or video link by the deadline 5pm Friday 30 August 2019.
The London Group will unpack and repack work from overseas on the condition that you supply clear instructions for unpacking and repacking and give a contact telephone number. Work will be handled entirely at the artists’ own risk including unpacking and repacking and The London Group and The Cello Factory will not accept liability for loss or damage. Your courier must be available for collection on the specified dates and times. The London Group will store your packaging during the exhibition.
The London Group has no storage available for packaging from UK-based artists.
No, you need to take your packaging away with you when you deliver and bring it back when you collect your work. The London Group has very limited storage so it is unable to store you packaging and wrapping if it is delivered from within the UK. You are responsible for repacking your work on your collection day.
